The girls are playing at Edinburgh Castle tonight, so I thought I'd post this nice article and interview from a local paper: For ones gifted to the planet through the curious voting pulses of a Saturday night television audience and therefore expected to go spectacularly to pieces, with public backlash and rapid disintegration within a matter of months, a la Hear'say and One True Voice Girls Aloud have not done so badly for themselves. It's now six years since they were formed on reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals, and went on to confound their critics with a string of terrific pop songs, such as Sound Of The Underground, Love Machine and No Good Advice. One of the most successful British pop groups of the last decade, quintet Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have enjoyed a record-breaking 17 consecutive top-ten hits, including three number one singles. And counting. Music snobs will argue that Xenomania, the chief songwriters behind the band, should take most of the credit for their success. But while they have obviously benefited from the pop production house's Midas touch, it's the girls themselves who sing and perform the songs. Read More? |

Ever-stylish Cheryl Cole was a picture of elegance yesterday as she stepped out with a shiny new ring - perhaps a make-up gift from husband Ashley. Whatever it was, the weighty piece of jewellery certainly made a handsome addition to the pop star's wardrobe. The pop star was seen on a shopping spree at London store Harrods with her mother Joan. Cheryl has reconciled with her footballer husband Ashley Cole and seems to be making a go of her troubled marriage. And maybe the shiny piece of bling she's wearing, possibly a present from her alleged love cheat husband Ashley has something to do with it. Cheryl and Ashley were seen leaving the Girls Aloud show at Newmarket Racecourse last week after a sizzling show. Read More? |

Cheryl and Ashley Cole suffered more trouble and strife as they left Newmarket Racecourse on Friday night without their wedding rings. Cheryl, 25, had just put in a sizzling show with Girls Aloud but did not join the others on their bus and got in her 27-year-old hubby’s Merc instead. Band insiders say Kimberley, and Sarah, both 26, Nicola, 22, and Nadine, 23, refuse to have Ashley in their presence after his alleged playing away. On the plus side, Cheryl was spotted with a sandwich in her hand. Source: here. |

I've added 31 images of the girls performing at Sandown Park Racecourse last night. Will post more if I come across them. [EDIT] Added a further 6 HQ's thanks to my friend Zac. There will still be more later, hopefully!| Sexy! Yes, Yes, Yes | Derrieres at the ready, eye-popping cleavages and thigh-high boots... What Will The Neighbours Say? |
Nicola, Nadine, Cheryl, Sarah and Kimberley took to the stage last night at Sandown Racecourse looking sexier than ever. And judging by these snaps, there will be men up and down the country dying to get Tangled Up with Girls Aloud. The gig in Surrey was a spectacle of plunging necklines and glitzy gold frocks designed by Julien MacDonald. But the best was yet to come when the quintet changed into super skimpy PVC bodices. The notoriously slender singers looked svelte as ever. But girls, please don't shift anymore pounds... You're perfect the way you are. The girls take to the stage tonight at Newmarket racecourse as part of Newmarket Nights Source: here. |

Okay, so I know the previous layout wasn't up for long at all, but I couldn't wait to put this one up, so I really hope you all like it. With the news of the girls starring in a new online series, I thought this would be a good oppurtunity to start afresh and look forward to things to come. Thanks goes to Justin for designing the layout, I think it makes a really nice change for the site. Stay tuned for all the latest news and gossip on the girls! Hope you all enjoy the new look. The gallery will also be getting a makeover very soon as well, so keep checking back for that. |
| Girls Aloud to star in online soap | We usually hear of soap stars trying their hand at a singing career - not the other way around. But that's another mould Girls Aloud hope to break. Yes, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, and Nicola Roberts - will feature in forthcoming online soap The Secret World Of Sam King. Created by record label Universal, the soap, initially exclusively for users of website Bebo, will also feature appearances from some of the music biz's biggest names. Razorlight, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Katherine Jenkins, The Feeling and Bloc Party are among the stars tipped to appear. A source close to Girls Aloud told the Daily Star: "They're all really excited - it promises to be a lot of fun. They've made a lot of really cool videos and appeared in the St Trinian's film last year. "But this is the first time they've had the chance to show off their acting talents. It's no secret that several of the girls harbour ambitions to get into acting and this will prove a great showcase." Read More? |
